Blessed with a jet of Satva

The airport, spread over 4000 acres, can handle 11 million people per annum with 27 aircraft movements per hour and an estimated 550 movements in May 2008. At its peak, it can handle 720 aircraft movements in a day.

You are right, its the new Bengaluru Airport.

Well, after a rejuvenating TRM with 1000 teachers from all over the country and of course Guruji, I checked in at 12 noon at counter 2 (you can see in the pic above) for my 1.00 pm Mumbai Indigo flight and sat on the bench exactly opposite (you obviously cant see in the pic) and after some amount of calculation, speculation and haa-naa haa-naa, finally did my Short Sudarshan Kriya.

I must admit, I was very concious, especially while doing the Bhastrika. Thoughts like 'what if someone objects?', 'if some passenger waiting besides me complaints then what?', 'what if some security guy actually comes up to me and stops me?'; and to counter these thoughts, phrases like 'Dont be a football...', 'who cares', 'SoHam SoWhat', 'I am not harming anybody', 'let me do what I feel is right' etc were going like a merry-go-round in my mind. Till when I chanted Om and the chattering stopped as I went into kriya.

A thought that really helped was, "if young couples hugging and cuddling is not objectionable then why cant I do pranayam and kriya?"

And what hit the final nail in the coffin was, "on the other hand I am only blessing the airport with more satva" and that triggered in me, not only total acceptance, but also a sense of righteousness and pride.

Within moments, peace dawned and the smile that took off from the lips, spearheaded through the cheeks, transcended the ears and soared into higher levels of my (inner) atmosphere.

Oh! :) That's a wonderful thing :) I remember that once i had to do Kriya in BITS Pilani hostel common room when we had gone for some competition. I did the Kriya but quite hurriedly... It is difficult not to be a football then.

But, after reading your mind-catchers, i don't think so its a big deal anymore :)

Thanks :) For writing after such a long time...
Love,
Siddharth

I has similar inhibitions when once sitting outside the ICU with a loved one inside. However ones the eyes closed, Guruji took over. Later a lot of folks came up and asked what i was doing and some people even said they had done the course !! It turned into an impromptu intro talk !!

Wow... Kriya on the air port...

That reminded me of we doing the Kriya in Train (10 of us) in the same compartment. that was real fun...

Hey Saleel bhaiya,

nice to have your post. And wow kriya at airport.

In Berlin sometimes I planned to go in park and do Kriya but was reluctant with the same set of questions you had. But now I have got motivation. I could go and do this whenever I feel like. And add more Satva :-)..

So Hum So what :-)

In fact , we should do kriya at these places only.
Let people ask " what is this "
Thats the reason Muslims do their Namaz anywhere and that in group...Be it railway station or a compartment, airlines or even on roads. And their belief in " THEIR GOD " is so strong.
This is the thing we should learn from them.
Meditation : anywhere everywhere anytime >>>
Thanks for the post.

Hey Saleel bhaiya..
Your kriya on Airport reminded me of doin Kriya on the Delhi Railway Platform as early as 4am !!!
And the best part is that after doin the YES!+ with you I had received the inspiration to do my kriya anywhere....

And now when my teacher did a kriya in similar situation, I proudly say that "My teacher practises what he preaches...!!!"
