Handling MINDS: A Conversation

Image
In the second week of April, I had an interaction with YES!+ participants on the last day of their course. I thought of sharing one of the conversations on the blog. Student : I had watched the silver jubilee celebration of 'The Art of Living'  few years back. But i felt it was too much wastage of money. The money could have been used elsewhere effectively. Don't you think so? Me : You know how many people came to attend that event? 2.5million. They meditated together and only God knows how many people were healed. Had they been told that they have to come and meditate together. How many would have come? Very few. That's why they were told that there's a big Celebration and actually there was :-) So many people came to know about Art of Living through this event. And so many lives got transformed. Student : But why so much spending? It was un-necessary Me : Why are you wearing that watch?   Student : To check time Me : Don't you have a mobile phone?   Studen...

Guilt & Conflicts

Q: Ummm.. Thr is one thng i greatly regret about.. I hv acceptd my mistake, still it comes in mind n hurts me agn aftr a whil.. Its deep rooted in my heart...How can i get rid of it? A: A scholar in a village who was jealous of Gautam Buddha, went and spat on his face and Buddha just kept smiling, untouched and unaffected, and when he later went to Buddha for forgiveness, Buddha said, "I cannot forgive because the person who spat and the person asking for forgiveness are not the same. And there is no chance I will meet him ever. And the person on who he spat is not the same as the person standing in front of you now and there is no chance you will meet him ever." Everything is changing. Just focus on the priority things in your life like your career etc. Move ahead dude. And I am not telling you to run away from your unpleasant feelings, just go through it, welcome it, do not resist it. Whatever your resist will persist :-) And my dear MRI, you seem so confident its deep ro...

Q & A with Guruji

Here is what Guruji's wisdom blog missed: Documented by my friend who was in the ashram. I liked the disclaimer he put - the words may not exactly match, but the bhav does :-) 20th June Satsang in Vishalakshi Mantap (VM) Q: Thank you for giving us an opportunity to ask questions. It is said that Christ died because of our sins..... Sri Sri: It is a wrong interpretation to say that Christ died because of our sins. The bible was written after many years of Christ's death. If a person takes this understanding he would continue sinning and say that Christ has already died for our sins. Q: How can one remain silent and yet say what is to be said so that nothing remains unsaid? Sri Sri: Did anyone understand the question?..(There was no response) It is best kept unsaid. Q: Of recent times, I have no questions left. Does that mean that I have become "Murkh" or very "Samajhdar"? Sri Sri: There is this one question at least! That means you are not "Murkh" ...

Friends, This is an awesome blog. The latest wisdom from Guruji is posted on this. http://wisdomfromsrisri.blogspot.com/ The latest post talks about: "You be a role model. It is only spirituality t hat can bring transformation in the nation. Devoid of spirituality, politics becomes so corrupt." “Save your mind at all costs. We talk about saving the environment, saving the world but not the mind. Tell yourself: I am in charge of my life, my mind. Nobody can make me unhappy.” "When you feel that you have everything now, you will have more. Do you know who gets invited to dinners? The one who has plenty to eat. Feel the plentitu de." Q. What is the secret behind the ever-green smile? A.: I have no idea. Perhaps it’s because I always walk my talk and talk my walk.) Q. How to become an angel? A.: There is no way. You already are one! Q. Do you ever get hurt in love? Q. Can students be equal to their Guru? If yes, then how? Q. Are the Mahabharata an...

Session with Bawa-n-Dinesh in Delhi on 21Jan'09

I am sure it must have happened sometime in your life, you are walking on the street, just passing a cake shop, and you slow down wondering whether you should give in to the temptation and indulge, you have almost decided not to, and a gentle breeze parcels a whiff of sweet aromatic air right into your nose! You almost taste the black forest with cherries or a wlanut almond or a pineapple watermelon with roasted cashew toppings....yuummmmm....Now you are left with no choice. In the next couple of minutes you are walking out of the shop licking the melting chocolate off your fingers :-) Bawa and Dinesh visited Delhi for a couple of days and all of the above happened, metaphorically and actually too! And their session on the 21st evening was like that - a gentle whiff packed with a lot of goodies. Knowledge Bawa said Guruji explained dispassion beautifully. He said, a desire to have any pleasurable experience springs up when you see or hear something about it. This desire or craving is c...
